The assortment of cyclones of “Kiev ventilation plant” is diverse, it includes models of different purposes with different design features and specifics of installation. Depending on the customer’s needs, our plant is able to produce a variety of cyclones models, technical parameters of which are interrelated with the cyclone size, its capacity and other features of a particular modification. In a number of cyclones we have implemented a new type of cyclone section articulation, we have made the construction of hoppers and cyclones more rigid through special fins and design changes, which on the one hand made the overall construction more solid and on the other hand made it lighter. Cyclones produced by the ventilation plant, as a rule, are recommended to be used for preliminary gas purification, and therefore to be installed before high efficiency filters or electrostatic precipitators. Cyclones of ZN, ZOK, ZOL, UZ, SIOT classes consist of casing, inlet pipe, outlet pipe, hopper. Efficiency of gas purification in cyclones is related both to density and disperse composition of particles, and to gas viscosity, which is directly related to gas temperature. When gas velocity in the unit is increased to a certain value and its size is reduced, the cleaning efficiency increases. The purification efficiency specified in the specifications can only be achieved if the cyclone size matches the unit capacity. Therefore, the unit size is selected on the basis of the cyclone capacity and the optimum velocity in the cyclone cylindrical section is taken into account. The purification efficiency reduces significantly if there is air leakage from the atmosphere inside the cyclone, especially it concerns the hopper. The tolerance of air suction is 5 ÷ 8%. In many cases the cyclones efficiency is enough to release the cleaned air or gases directly into the atmosphere. Cyclones can operate one by one (a single version) or in groups of two to eight cyclones in even number (a group version), depending on the capacity value.
Cyclone operating principle: Contaminated air enters the upper zone of the casing bypassing the inlet nozzle connected tangentially to the casing, as a rule, at a speed not exceeding 20 m/s. This flow makes a rotary movement along the ring between the inner tube and the casing wall, then moves into the conical section. Under the action of the resulting centrifugal force, the foreign particles, moving radially, tend to press against the walls of the housing. The dust-free air flow exits through the inner tube to the outside, the trapped impurities move to the collecting hopper.
Cyclones advantages:
- simplicity of design;
- reliability;
- easy assembly;
- Reduction of maintenance to a minimum;
- durability;
- high effective purification;
- localization of waste in the hopper;
- reasonable price.
Cyclone selection is carried out depending on:
- the size of suspended particles;
- Volume of air needed for aspiration;
- The required level of purification;
- conditions of discharging the collected impurities.
Cyclones climatic modification type is UHL4 and U1-4 – GOST 15150-69 standard. The customer can easily find a suitable cyclone model on the site of our plant, based on the size, capacity and working pressure.
