Cyclones of CDO class are designed to collect finely ground wood waste: shavings, chips, sawdust, bark.
Structural advantages
According to the technical parameters, the cyclones of CDO class are similar to the cyclones developed by Klaipeda OEKDM, but they are more compact. These units are manufactured with a capacity of 5500 ÷ 59000 m3/h, the diameter of the cylindrical section – 800 ÷ 2400 millimeters. The optimum inlet velocity of the contaminated air flow is 12-15 m/sec.
The CDO cyclone is equipped with a tangential part of the “snail” spinner, in the aspiration ventilation system it should be installed before the dust fan to reduce the hydraulic resistance of the system as a whole and the loads on the fan in particular. To use it in industrial pneumatic transport systems, a cyclone unloader design is used. The standard equipment includes an umbrella, it is possible to manufacture with a snail.
Cyclones of the CDO class are made in right or left versions. In the first version, the passing flow rotates in the direction of the movement of the hands of the clock, if you observe from the place of placement of the exhaust outlet, the left, on the contrary – against the specified movement.
Advantages
One of the main advantages of cyclones of CDO class is high performance at low resistance and relatively small dimensions.
Field of application
Cyclones of CDO class are in demand for use in the aspiration ventilation system, pneumatic transport system of each woodworking enterprise for separation of both large enough wood waste and loose finely crushed materials such as wood chips, sawdust, bark, shavings.
Features of installation and operation
When installing a cyclone of the CDO class outside the room after the fan (discharge operation), an umbrella is required to prevent the penetration of precipitation into the system. When operating in discharge mode, a coil spinner is required. This cyclone is installed on a lock reloader or hopper. The latter must be periodically cleaned of accumulated waste. The dimensions of the hopper, its shape depend on the desired frequency of cleaning. To improve the efficiency of the cleaning system, the hopper with the cyclone is hermetically welded.
