Aspiration systems of industrial production facilities for processing cereal crops are mandatorily equipped with dust collecting cyclones of increased efficiency of class CR to comply with the standards of maximum permissible emissions (MPE) of pollutants into the atmosphere. Cyclone of class ЦРк is an improved modification of cyclone of class ЦР. Due to the reduced size of the casing, the installation of the cyclone can be carried out in a small room.

Structural advantages

Cyclones of class ЦРк are made of carbon, stainless steel in left or right execution. In the cyclones of the right-hand design, the passing flow rotates in the direction of clockwise movement, if observed from the location of the exhaust outlet, the left-hand – counterclockwise.

The capacity of twelve models of cyclones CRk varies from 90 to 2544 m3/h, the diameter of the cylindrical part – from 200 to 750 millimeters at an operating pressure of 5000 Pa. The inlet velocity of the air flow contaminated with grain for these cyclones is 8-10 m/s, with grinding products – 14-20 m/s, the resistance level varies in the range of 700÷900 Pa, the hydraulic resistance coefficient is 3.5D (internal diameter of the cyclone in meters). The efficiency of air purification from foreign inclusions reaches 90%. This modernized modification of the cyclone differs from its predecessor by the angle of entry of the contaminated air flow into the shortened design of the unit.

Principle of operation

The contaminated air flow, bypassing the inlet, enters the inner cavity of the cyclone. Centrifugal forces arising due to the rotational movement of the air throw foreign particles to the walls of the unit. Discharge of the purified air is carried out in the upper part of the cyclone through the exhaust pipe, the waste falls into the discharge cone.

Advantages

Advantages of cyclones-unloaders of class CRk in comparison with cyclones of other classes: low power consumption, low level of resistance, possibility of use in small rooms due to compact design. Scope of application Cyclones of TsRk class are widely demanded for separation of solid particles of medium fractions in aspiration units, in pneumatic conveying systems of grain cleaning sections of mills, large fractions in those grain processing plants where air flow cleaning is required to be carried out with minimal energy consumption, for example, when loading grain, moving and unloading products. Cyclones-unloaders ЦРК are quite effective for air purification from sawdust, shavings in pneumatic transport systems of woodworking industries, where there is no need to install cyclones of increased capacity.

Features of operation

When installing the cyclone, its maintenance, special attention is paid to the quality of internal surfaces in contact with the purified air, sealing of the air duct system. The surface of cyclones must be insulated to avoid burns of the working personnel. The temperature of the insulating surface above +45°С is unacceptable.
