SK-CN-34M

Cyclones SK-TsN-34M belong to the type of conical cyclones designed for cleaning of soot-air and soot-gas mixtures from particles of solid fraction in pneumatic conveying systems, for cleaning of air from sticky dust, as well as in aspiration and pneumatic cleaning systems of carbon black production, which is also called soot. These cleaning machines effectively separate the particles with increased abrasiveness and increased coefficient of adhesion moved through pipelines (material pipelines).

CYCLONES SK-CN-34M
Cyclones of class SK-TsN-34M are the modernized version of dust collectors of class SK-TsN-34 in the form of a cone with spiral inlet nozzles for flue gases cleaning from foreign inclusions: dust, soot and other solid particles. Cyclones SK-CN-34M are in demand for cleaning the air flow from sticky and abrasive dust.
There are different assembly options, dimensions of cyclones of SK-CN-34M class. Therefore, it is not difficult to choose the proper equipment for the formation of a dust collecting complex for premises with a capacity of up to 120,000 m. Units SK-CN-34M have large dimensions, long conical shape, spiral nozzle at the inlet. All this together allows to use one unit in a large production facility. Formation of a group of cyclones of this class is not recommended.
Cyclones SK-CN-34M are made of sheets of ferrous metal three millimeters thick, resistant to corrosion due to the heavy-duty special structure. In the design of such cyclones there is a swirler – “snail”, which provides right- or left-hand rotation of the incoming gas flow relative to the exhaust pipe.
The productivity of cyclone models of class SK-CN-34M is in the range – 1100 ÷ 63600 m3/h, the diameter of the cylindrical compartment is 400 ÷ 3000 millimeters at a maximum pressure of 1700 Pa. The temperature of the working gas mixture should not exceed 250 °С. The gas flow rate at the inlet should be within 10 ÷ 17 m/s. The maximum concentration of contaminants in the gas to be cleaned is 1000 g/m3. The cleaning efficiency of the contaminated flow is within 90% – 98%.
Principle of operation
Cleaning of the contaminated gas flow in the cyclone of class SK-CN-34M is carried out by centrifugal forces arising after the spiral swirling of the air flow. Under their influence, solid particles fly off to the walls of the unit, and after impact they fall into the storage hopper, which is an integral part of the standard equipment of the cyclone. The purified air is discharged through the upper opening.
Field of application
Cyclones SK-CN-34M are designed for efficient operation in systems for catalytic cracking of petroleum products and dehydrogenation of butane in the production of carbon black. They are applicable for air purification in aspiration systems, pneumatic cleaning and pneumatic transport of carbon black production. These units have the highest degree of purification in comparison with other conical cyclones, however, they have a high coefficient of resistance, and in terms of pressure losses they are twice inferior to their predecessor SK-CN-34. Cyclones SK-CN-34M are in demand for cleaning in those industries where sticky and highly abrasive dust is present in the air space. One cannot do without these dust collectors in hydrolysis shops of yeast production when installing them behind spray dryers in the purification complex of the gas coolant, they are in demand in the process of operation of heating plants and reactors for purification of both gas coolant and air.
Features of operation
The cyclone of class SK-CN-34M operates in steam with a smoke exhauster or a fan. For combined operation with these cyclones it is recommended to use smoke exhausters of DN, VDN, D series and fans of dust classes VCP 6-46, VCP 7-40, VCP 6-45, VCP 5-45. After the cyclone, carbon filters can be stirred, which further increase the cleaning efficiency – the odor will also be eliminated. After installing the unit in place, it needs to be insulated, for which the cyclones are provided with fasteners. Cyclones of class SK-CN-34M are also in demand for the simultaneous implementation of the process of purification from impurities of various foreign particles with high concentrations.
