Fan VMP consists of:
- front and rear housings;
- wheel-turbine nozzles;
- sled;
- filter;
- branch pipe.
Fans VMP can work in the modes:
- strengthened;
- normal;
- lowered.
Axial shaft fans of local air ventilation VMP-4M with pneumatic drive are designed for local ventilation of dead-end excavations in mines dangerous for gas, methane and dust, including super-category ones, where the use of fans with electric drive is not allowed under the conditions of explosion protection.
During ventilation of dead-end preparatory workings, the operating modes of the fan vary depending on the amount of air consumed. Typical are long-term airing conditions under normal methane emissions and a short-term regime after blasting. To control the performance of the fan, nozzle regulation is applied due to overlapping of a part of the nozzle channels.
Installation of fans horizontal, with an allowable deviation from the horizontal not more than 30 °. The design of the fan allows them to be connected in series, when the length of the pipeline and its resistance require this.
The fan VMP-4 is recommended to be used mainly with a pipeline with a diameter of 400 mm.
