Purpose of the cyclones of the CVP-4

Cyclones CVP-4 with a water film are designed to clean dusty air removed by ventilation units and are recommended for all types of non-cemented dust, including that formed during processing and transportation: sand, clay, coal, limestone, abrasives and various ores, as well as wet, sticky and containing fibrous inclusions.

It is possible to use cyclones CVP-4 as the only stage of air purification if the initial dust concentration does not exceed 10 g/m3. At higher values, it is recommended to use cyclones as the second stage of purification.

Cyclones CVP-4 are usually installed indoors. When using the cyclones for air purification with outdoor installation, it is necessary to take measures to prevent freezing of water in the tank, water supply system, collector, flushing device and sludge cone.

Design of the cyclones of the CVP-4

Cyclone CVP-4 consists of a casing with an air inlet and an air outlet snail connected to the upper flange of the casing. The air outlet of the cochlea can be installed in different directions with respect to the air inlet. The direction of the air outlet can be changed to angles that are multiples of the angles between two adjacent bolts. A rectangular flange is welded to the lower part of the body, to which a sludge cone is attached by means of a hinge and a hinged ball with a lamb, which, when filled with sludge, forms a hydraulic seal.

Water for irrigation of the inner surface of the body at a pressure of 0.02-0.025 MPa (0.2-0.25 kgf/cm2) is supplied by the nozzle through rubber tubes connected to the ring collector. To monitor the operation of the nozzle in the upper bottom of the cochlea there is a hatch closed with a glass cover. A flushing device is provided in the air inlet to remove sludge deposits at the air inlet to the cyclone body.
