CMS-27-1000
Cyclones ЦМС-27
Designed to work in the field of thermal power, cyclones ЦМС-27 are widely used for cleaning flue gases from solid dust particles. These units are mainly mounted in boiler rooms, both at large enterprises and at local enterprises. These units function due to the natural draft system.

Marking

“CMC-27-600”, where:

  • “C” for cyclone;
  • “M” – modernized;
  • “C” – spiral;
  • “27” – slope of the inlet flow of dusty flue gases, °;
  • “600” – diameter of the cylinder cavity, mm.

The field of application of the cyclone type unit is ventilation systems. A special position among cylindrical cyclones of NIIOGAZ is occupied by cyclones of CMC-27 class. These units are designed to clean flue gases from solid dust inclusions, mainly in the field of thermal power engineering in order to prevent pollution into the atmosphere.

Design advantages

Standard cyclones of class ЦМС-27 are made of stainless steel with left and right rotation of gas flow. At the customer’s request, the cyclone can be made of sheets of other metals with a specific thickness. Left-hand version – swirling of the mixture in the direction of movement of the clockwork, right-hand – against. There is no outlet chamber, the hopper is made in the form of a cylinder. Cyclones of CMC-27 class are produced only in single version. The content of dust inclusions in the gas to be cleaned should be 5÷10 g/m3.

The productivity in the models of cyclones ЦМС-27 varies from 1145 to 62172 m3/h, the diameter of the cylindrical part – from 300 to 2000 millimeters at an operating pressure of 817 Pa. The optimum speed inside the cyclone is 5 m/s, the coefficient of hydraulic resistance is 45. Exceeding the temperature of the gas flow passing through a standard cyclone of class CMC-27, 400 ° C is not allowed. If the working gas mixture exceeds the temperature tolerance, the cyclone is made of special materials. In this case, the lining of the cylindrical and conical cavities of the cyclone with heat-resistant material, the manufacture of the exhaust pipe from heat-resistant steel is necessary.

The principle of operation

The flow of dusty flue gases through the inlet pipe enters the cyclone body, where due to its specific shape it is twisted. Due to the influence of centrifugal forces, dust inclusions are directed to the walls of the unit, repelled from them, and settle in the cylindrical section of the cyclone.

Advantages

  • versatility;
  • reliability;
  • high efficiency of flue gas cleaning 75 ÷ 85% (at particle sizes typical for boiler units operating on natural draft);
  • durability.

Field of application

This equipment is operated in small boiler houses, industrial plants operating on natural chimney draft.

Features of operation

Exceeding the temperature of the gas flow passing through the standard cyclone of class ЦМС-27, 400 °С is not allowed. When installing the cyclone, its maintenance, priority attention should be paid to sealing the air duct system in order to avoid burn injuries to the operating personnel. It is unacceptable to exceed +45°C in the insulating surface. Periodic inspection of the dust collector system is the key to well-established efficient operation of the cyclone.
