CVP

CVP-10
Water film cyclones
Cyclones with water film are designed to clean dusty air removed by ventilation units and are recommended for all types of non-cemented dust, including that formed during processing and transportation: sand, clay, coal, limestone, abrasives and various ores, as well as wet, sticky dust and those containing fibrous inclusions.

Маркування циклону класу ЦВП

Приклад позначення – «ЦВП» – 6 », де:

  • «Ц» – циклон;
  • «ВП» – водяна плівка;
  • «6» – номер, відповідний внутрішньому діаметру циліндра – 630 міліметрів.

Cyclones of the CVP class are water film cyclones designed to clean contaminated air. Due to the high efficiency of dust collection, these units can serve as the only stage of the cleaning system. The cyclone of class CVP effectively copes with the capture of such fine contaminants: sand, clay, soot, coal, wood, sugar, abrasive, fibrous, sticky dust.

Design advantages

Cyclone of class CVP is a casing with an inlet pipe and a discharge coil for air. The last element at the top is connected to the housing flange, it can be placed relative to the air inlet in any direction. Water is continuously supplied to the cyclones with a water film (supply pressure 19 ÷ 24 kPa), with the help of which air is filtered. For visual control of the nozzle (the upper bottom of the cochlea) there is a hatch with a glass cover – a viewing window. A discharge cone (sludge outlet) is connected to the rectangular flange of the cyclone from below, which forms a hydraulic shutter when it is filled with sludge. The inlet/outlet pipes are connected to the duct by means of flanges. A flushing device is provided in the inlet pipe to remove sludge accumulations.

In the standard version, cyclones of class CVP are made of ferrous metal. At the request of the customer, it is possible to produce these units from other metals, as well as with increased flow rate. There is a difference between the standard design and the design with increased speed. In the second variant, a baffle is additionally welded in the inlet, which halves the size of the inlet for a higher level of air purification. This increases the aerodynamic resistance of the unit. There are types of execution, based on the direction of air flow: right, left.

The productivity in the models of cyclones of the CVP class varies from 1250 to 20000 m3/h, the diameter of the cylindrical part is 315 ÷ 1000 millimeters with a maximum working pressure of 9000 Pa.

The principle of operation

The air enters the cyclone of the CVP class through the inlet pipe, thanks to it it twists at a certain angle in a spiral. The principle of operation of the unit is the influence of centrifugal forces that direct foreign particles to the walls of the unit, as in most dust collectors. At the same time, the walls inside the unit are wetted with water from the nozzles. The latter are united by a water distribution ring, located along the line of the upper circle of the cyclone. The water film lining the inner surface of the cyclone traps dust. Removal of dust accumulations is carried out by means of a drain device. The air freed from suspended particles exits from above through the cochlea. Solid particles are removed from the bottom of the casing by means of a special cone-shaped outlet.

Advantages:

  • high performance of a single cyclone (single stage of cleaning);
  • capture of different-sized dust;
  • high degree of purification.

Field of application

The field of application of cyclones of class CVN is practically unlimited. The cyclone with a water shell of class CVN has found its application where dusty air purification by means of ventilation units is required. The class of cyclones under consideration successfully copes with non-cemented dust of any kind, including dust generated during the transportation and processing of coal, limestone, clay, various ores, sand, abrasives, as well as dust with a fibrous structure, a tendency to clump, and high humidity.

Features of operation

Initial dust concentration during the operation of the cyclone as a single stage of cleaning should be up to 10 g/m3. In case of exceeding this value, it is recommended to use cyclones of class ЦВП as the second stage of cleaning (the first stage is a dry cleaning unit). Cyclones of class CVP are usually installed in rooms with a temperature not exceeding 20°C. In case of using the cyclone for hot air purification outdoors, it is necessary to take a number of measures designed to prevent freezing of water in the flushing device, barrel, water supply system, collector, sludge cone. For proper functioning of the unit, the same water pressure should be maintained in front of the nozzles – 0.2 ÷ 0.25 kgf/cm2.
