SDK-CN-33-1000
Cyclones SDK-CN-33
Cyclones SDK-CN-33 are used for flue gas cleaning from solid particles and medium-sized dust. They are widely used at production facilities and in industry. For example, these cyclones are often used in: metallurgy, chemical, oil industry and other industries. Also these cyclones can often be found in boiler rooms.

Marking of cyclone of SDK-CN-33 class:

Example of designation “SDK-CN-33-900”, where:

  • “SDK” is a spiral long-conical unit;
  • “CN” is a cyclone developed by the Gas Purification Research Institute;
  • “33” – angle of inclination of the inlet pipe relative to the horizontal axis, °;
  • “900” – diameter of the inner part of the cyclone, mm.

CYCLONES SDK-CN-33

Cyclones of SDK-CN-33 class of conical type are designed for purification of soot-containing air and gas mixtures from foreign solid inclusions in aspiration, pneumatic cleaning and pneumatic conveying systems of carbon black (carbon black) production. This spiral long-conical cyclone is the most efficient of all classes of conical cyclones with a snail-type swirler at the same hydraulic losses and equal body diameters.

Structural advantages

Cyclone SDK-CN-33 of standard design is made of ferrous metal, resistant to corrosion. Given the need to use these units to work with aggressive or explosive media, they should be made of stainless steel or aluminum alloys, respectively. The unit of this class has a long-conical part and a specific spiral inlet nozzle, in which a rotating flow of gas (air) is created. The cyclone of this class can be of both left and right design (left – counterclockwise rotation of the gas flow relative to the exhaust point, right – clockwise). Due to the elongated part of the cone, maximum dust collection efficiency is ensured. Cyclone of SDK-CN-33 class is usually used in a single version. Due to the significant elongation of the cone, a group combination of these cyclones is rarely used.

The capacity of cyclone models of SDK-CN-33 class varies from 1100 to 63600 m3/h, diameter – from 400 to 3000 millimeters at a maximum pressure of 1440 Pa. Max concentration of contaminants in the gas stream to be cleaned is 1000 g/m3. 250 °С is the limit temperature of the gas to be cleaned. The optimum speed of the supplied mixture is 11 m/s. The efficiency of cleaning the clogged air flow reaches (the presence of dust particles with a density of 2.7 g/cm3 with a minimum size of 10 microns) 75% ÷ 98%.

The principle of operation

The functioning of the cyclone SDK-CN-33 is based on the use of centrifugal forces arising due to the specifics of the cyclone design, which contribute to the swirling of the working mixture inside the casing, the separation of dust particles from its composition. The working mixture is supplied through the inlet pipe on the side of the cyclone. Due to the special shape of the latter, the mixture, swirling, moves down the body in a spiral. Mud inclusions are repelled from the walls of the unit, fall down, settle in the hopper. The gas (air) flow purified from undesirable inclusions is directed upwards to the body, from where it is discharged from the unit through the exhaust coaxial pipe.

Advantages

the highest efficiency among the devices with a swirler – “snail” at the same values of hydraulic losses and casing diameters;
high level of cleaning with a relatively small coefficient of high-speed supply of contaminated gases to the unit.
Field of application

Cyclone of SDK-CN-33 class can be used for flue gas cleaning from solid particles and dust. These devices are indispensable in boiler houses. They are designed for removal of solid large particles of soot-containing air and gas mixtures in pneumatic conveying systems during the processing of soot, in the production of carbon black. Cyclone SDK-CN-33 is in demand in power engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgy for cleaning boilers from soot. Also their use is possible in chemical and oil, as well as other industries. It is not recommended to use cyclones of class SDK-CN-33 for cleaning flue gases containing fibrous particles and adhering, including oily, oily inclusions that can gather into large lumps. With the help of this cyclone, foreign particles with a diameter of 5-6 microns are effectively captured.

Features of operation

A fan is used to supply the clogged mixture to the cyclone of the SDK-CN-33 class for steam. For joint work, the latter can be located after the cyclone or in front of it. Often the fan VC 14-46 is used. VCP 6-46, VCP 7-40, VCP 6-45 and VCP 5-45 series are also in demand. Installation of smoke exhausters is also possible: classes DN, VDN, D.
