SIOT-M1

Cyclones SIOT-M1 are used for medium and coarse purification of gas-air mixtures that do not contain abrasive and sticky impurities in high concentration. Cyclones of this category are designed for air purification from lime dust. The main fields of application of cyclones SIOT-M1 are those in which dry purification of air mixtures is required, which can be released in various technological processes: for example, during fuel combustion, during agglomeration, during drying and burning, and so on.

- “M” – modernized model;

CYCLONES SIOT-M1
Cyclones of SIOT-M1 class are used for coarse and medium degrees of purification of gas-air working medium from a set of foreign inclusions, in which the content of abrasive and sticky components is small. Cyclone of SIOT-M class is an improved modification of cyclone of SIOT class. Cyclones of SIOT-M class are units with increased efficiency. In the improved SIOT-M class, the quality of air purification is much higher, this circumstance led to the expansion of the model line due to three new models with diameter numbers – 8, 9, 10 (size 1100, 1180, 1240 millimeters, respectively). Cyclones of SIOT-M1 class have both increased efficiency and increased productivity.
Structural advantages
Cyclones of SIOT-M1 class are usually made of corrosion-resistant special metal of black color. At the request of the customer, the cyclone can be made of other metal, including suitable for explosive environment. In the modernized cyclones of SIOT-M1 class, the hopper and the body are connected by a spinner insert. Most of the contaminated flow enters through the upper section of the cyclone, additional – through the lower. As a result, a significant reduction – by half – of aerodynamic resistance is provided, while the productivity increases by one and a half times. These cyclones are made in right or left version for easy installation on site. They are installed only on the suction side in relation to the fan.
The capacity of ten models of cyclones SIOT-M1 varies from 2250 to 26500 m3/h, the diameter of the cylindrical part – from 550 to 1240 millimeters, the working pressure is the same – 4800 Pa. The resistance level varies in the range of 650÷1200 Pa, the air flow inlet speed is 15-18 m/s. The hopper of this cyclone can be equipped with a slide gate or a gate of another design (flasher). The degree of air purification is 83÷90%.

Field of application
Cyclones of SIOT-M1 class are widely demanded for dry cleaning of gas-air mixtures formed, for example, during firing, drying, agglomeration, etc. These units effectively function in aspiration air purification systems in metallurgy, mechanical engineering, oil refining and chemical industries, and in other similar areas.
Features of operation
Cyclones of SIOT-M1 class are placed indoors and outdoors, mounted on special legs (pedestal). It is forbidden to use standard cyclones of SIOT-M1 class in work with explosive environments without special retrofitting.
